Danny Ross
Founder, Anti Social Producers Club

Following in the path of Jack Antonoff, Blake Mills and Ricky Reed, Danny Ross is an indie/alternative frontman turned mad scientist pop producer, mining new sounds with classic songwriting craft. Ross produced recent hit singles for TikTok star Simone (featured on New Music Friday), #1 Billboard indie band Wakey! Wakey!, RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Miz Cracker and Jujubee, R&B phenom Janelle Kroll, indie darling Healer (featured on Fresh Finds) and is collaborating with upcomers Lyn Lapid, Maty Noyes, Richie Quake, Fake Dad, Laraw and Dreamers. Ross co-scored the Hulu series ‘Everyone Is Doing Great’ and is also one-half of indie project Cheap Synths, featured in an Apple commercial and signed to Rough Trade.

Ross founded the Anti Social Producers Club (ASPC), an underground NYC music producers collective whose members have worked with artists like Beyonce, Bon Iver, John Legend and Shawn Mendes. With over 50 members, billions of streams and dozens of grammys, the collective has become an industry hub for New York writers and producers. Dan Edinberg is a producer and songwriter based in New York City. A multi-instrumentalist, he is known for his stylistic versatility. Dan’s work spans R+B (co-wrote “Reachin’ 2 Much” feat. Dana Nielsen

Based in Los Angeles, Nielsen has amassed credits that run the stylistic gamut from Neil Diamond to Slayer and just about every style in between. Nielsen’s work can be heard on albums by a diverse roster of artists. He worked as an engineer on Kanye West’s Yeezus(Roc-A-Fella) and Rihanna’s Loud (Def Jam), recorded Bob Dylan’s Tempest (Colombia), and recorded Neil Young and Crazy Horse for their album Colorado (Reprise). Libby Larkin

Libby Larkin (they/she/he) is a 27 year old singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. They studied acting all through college and shortly after graduating they booked their first television role on ABC’s “What Would You Do”. Libby then concentrated on their love for songwriting and was given an opportunity to perform their song “Billy Goat” for Madonna’s short film “Her-Story”. Libby has continued to pursue a career in songwriting. Over quarantine Libby developed a TikTok following from their songwriting videos showing the process of how each song is written. They now are focusing primarily on developing more safe spaces for LGBTQ, female, and non-binary songwriters/ artists in the industry.

Tiger Darrow

Cody Fitzgerald

Jump-starting his career when a song he wrote and produced in high school was synched in an international Apple ad, Cody Fitzgerald has gone on to become a fixture of the Brooklyn indie rock scene. His band Stolen Jars has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, and lauded by David Byrne of The Talking Heads, all while Fitzgerald has co-written and co-produced feature-length film scores for The Rewrite (2014), Hard Sell (2016) and, most recently, Disney’s Christmas movie Noelle (2019) – making him, and his scoring partner Clyde Lawrence, the youngest composers to ever score a Disney movie. Chris Sclafani

Chris Sclafani is a Grammy-Award winning engineer; vocal producer, mixer, and multi-instrumentalist based in NYC. Dahlia Lagos

Dahlia Lagos is a Colombian American bilingual singer, songwriter, and producer. She has written, and produced songs for STARZ’s groundbreaking and critically acclaimed tv show VIDA- placing songs with the bands FEM’d, Digibich, and Shamana Mama on the VIDA soundtrack. Her music has been featured on Showtime's "The L Word: Generation Q," HBO's "We're Here," CW's "Katy Keene," to name a few. Most recently, Dahlia scored episodes for Hulu's Latinx Heritage Month "Acentos Bienvenidos." Josh Ford

Josh Ford, is a producer, writer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. Kiri Stensby

Kiri is a New York City-based musician, producer, and audio engineer. She got her start at the Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music at NYU, where she initially intended to study songwriting, but in her first engineering class she quickly fell in love with the technical aspects of music creation. Being able to carve and shape sounds became her calling. Kiri considers herself blessed to have primarily found work mixing and producing in the alternative pop genre (Eartheater, LEYA, Caroline Polachek) which has given her the opportunity to work with delicate orchestral instrumentation alongside textural heavy beats. Getting to mix extremely dichotomous music, whether soft synths and a club beat, or a string quartet with layered noise samples underneath is what Kiri finds most exciting, and has marked most of her discography to this day. She also dabbles in commercial work for Funimation and various TV networks.

Chris Cline is an NYC-based A&R and Product Manager for Canvasback Music and Atlantic Records. He has worked on campaigns for Alt-J, Grouplove, The War On Drugs, as well as his own roster, which includes Briston Maroney, MICHELLE, Genevieve Stokes, and gabby start. Chris got his start pursuing music production and audio engineering at Full Sail University before starting to scout for Atlantic Records in the fall of 2017.

Annie Elise currently serves as an East Coast A&R representative for Nettwerk Music Group, the Vancouver-based music conglomerate which is widely recognised as one of the world's most influential and forward-thinking major independent labels. While studying music production at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Annie was disappointed to find only 2% of recognized music producers on top charts were female. She quickly found a passion in advocating for and elevating women working behind-the-scenes, working with music tech companies like Kilohearts, MXL mics, and Baby Audio to make music technology more accessible to women, and joined the Created By Women initiative through Spotify to recognize songs 100% created by women. Laura Jones – CEO / Producer Manager, Little Underground Management

Laura Jones is the founder of Little Underground Management, a Grammy award-winning producer management company based in New York. Her clients have produced and mixed records for everyone from David Bowie to Panic! At The Disco, A Tribe Called Quest to Weezer. After building her business in London, England, where she successfully managed independent artists, she moved from the UK to the US 8 years ago and switched her focus to producers. Building the company from the ground up, her roster has since spawned a multitude of Grammy nominations, received several platinum and gold selling records and worked on boundless critically acclaimed albums. Her aptitude for match-making producer and artist has heralded many great records at her hands. Is this in-person or over Zoom?
It’s both! The programming is being built out so it will be an enriching experience whether you attend in person in New York City, or at home over Zoom. There are 50 tickets available for each experience.
If I’m attending over Zoom will I get to participate in the songwriting and pitch sessions?
Yes! We have remote songwriting session experts who will help you through this. Many of our mentors participated in plenty of remote sessions over the past couple years.
Where in NYC is this being held?
It will be in in the Flatiron District in Manhattan.
Will I get to choose my masterclass session?
If you’re attending in person, yes. The sessions will be first come first service. Everyone over Zoom will attend the same 3 sessions. In our pre-event survey, you will get to request the sessions you would like to attend and we will do our best to accommodate.
Will there be food and drinks?
On Friday and Sunday, lunches will be provided. Sunday evening there will be NYC pizza provided for dinner.
How do the songwriting sessions work?
Students will be put in groups of 4 + 1 mentor. Each group will write one song during the session. Every session will include a “driver” who will run the DAW and at least one singer who can sing on the demo. The goal is to finish one song and record a rough demo during the session. The songs will be pitched to the industry experts the following day.
How do the pitch sessions work?
Every group will have an opportunity to present their new song they wrote the previous day to the industry A&R and managers for feedback and consideration in their catalog and possible representation.
Can I pitch my other songs to the A&R?
The songs you submit in your application will be given to all of our industry experts along with your contact information. If they would like to follow up with you, they will. Your music will be reviewed by SongCon’s internal staff for conference consideration and Anti Social Producers Club Song Camp this Summer.
How can I attend Anti Social Producer’s Club Song Camp in the Summer?
2 SongCon students will be selected to participate in the official Anti Social Producer’s Club 2022 song camp in NYC this June. Selections will be made based on participation during SongCon and awarded on the final day of the conference. Check out last year’s camp here: https://aristake.io/aspc
Can I apply as a band?
This conference is for songwriters and producers. If there are 4 songwriters in your band, that requires 4 separate applications and, if selected, 4 tickets to the conference.
When will I be notified if I am selected to participate in SongCon 2022?
Acceptance letters will be emailed Tuesday, March 15th.
When do applications close?
Applications close Wednesday, March 9th at 6pm EST.
Will I receive feedback on my application?
No. You will only receive acceptance, waitlist, or rejection notices.
How much are tickets to the SongCon?
$397 - In-person, NYC | $297 - Virtual, Zoom
If accepted, will my card be automatically charged?
No. If accepted you will have 3 days to purchase a ticket otherwise your slot will be given to someone on the waitlist.
Can I apply for both in-person and zoom events?
If you would like to apply for both you must submit two separate applications** - one for each - NYC (in-person) and Zoom (virtual). **THIS REQUIRES A SEPARATE EMAIL ADDRESS FOR EACH APPLICATION**
How many songs should be submitted with the application
Put your best foot forward; we recommend 3-5, but it’s totally up to you.
Will there be a replay of the conference?
No, this conference will be live. There will NOT be a replay for in-person or Zoom attendees.
